I crave a world in which humans imagine we live downstream, downwind, down-foodchain from themselves.  In which that worn-out dream that we are independent of the ground on which we stand, from which we eat and drink, is long buried and composted.  In which the water we drink is sweet and the fruit we eat is clean and nourishing, because our neighbors living up the watershed a ways thought lovingly of us. 
 
I crave a time in which we regrow our sense of belonging because we are coaxing our home into health and abundance, rather than acting like guilty thieves, covering our eyes while we take from that which is already depleted, dis-eased, or has been stolen before.
